MENU OPTIONS

Menu attributes specify features for the menu as a whole.

This is where you deal with issues like the following:

Should the menu be Horizontal or Vertical?
Should the user be able to relocate it?
When, where and how should the submenus open?

Menu attributes apply to the menu as a whole rather than to any specific element. Since they don't apply to an element, they cannot be characterized as Item or Container attributes.

Below are all the possible menu attributes:

Menu Type [1]

With this parameter you can control the way the child items or containers are aligned:

Vertical (default):Items will be placed one below the other creating a standard vertical menu.
Horizontal: Items will be placed one besides the other creating a thin and wide menu. These kind of menus are ideal when there's not enough vertical space to display a menu.
Vertical Menu Bar: Items will be placed one below the other creating a standard vertical menu bar.
Horizontal Menu Bar: Items will be placed one besides the other creating a thin and wide menu bar.

Relative Position [2]

This parameter specifies the corner where the menu is positioned or the edge where the menu is centered. When an edge is selected instead of a corner, the menu is centered in that edge.

Top Left Corner
Top Right Corner
Bottom Left Corner
Bottom Right Corner
Left Edge, Vertically Centered
Right Edge, Vertically Centered
Top Edge, Horizontally Centered
Bottom Edge, Horizontally Centered

Open Submenu Event [3]

This parameter specifies how the submenus open.

On Mouse Over - by passing the mouse over the item.
On Click - by clicking on the item.

Open Submenu How [4]

This parameter specifies the type submenus open animation.

Horizontal
Vertical
Diagonal

Left [5]

This is the distance from the top of the browser window to menu's border.

Top [6]

This is the distance from the left side of the browser window to menu's border.

Shift [7]

This parameter specifies the distance of the submenu positioning relative to its parent menu edge (in pixels). Accepts negative values too.

Movable [8]

Enables the user to relocate the menu to a different position on the web page. When this feature is applied the user can drag the menu from its Title.

Roll Out / Roll Down Enabled [9]

This parameter allows you to roll the menu by double-clicking on menu title. When double-clicked, only menu title is visible. To restore usual menu look simply double-click on menu title again.

This parameter will be useful to increase page visibility area.

Smoothed [10]

This attribute enables submenu animation when opening.

Stickable [11]

With this attribute you can keep the menu visible on top of the contests while scrolling.

The menu follows the scrolling direction allowing the user to view it at all times. It stays on top of the contents and moves automatically by the scrolling step. In that way, the menu retains its position on the screen regardless of the shifting of contents caused by the scrolling. It may be a good idea to combine it with the Movable attribute to offer more flexibility to users.
